Bar Symon CLE Airport
About This Spot
Stepping into Bar Symon CLE Airport, you find a mellow refuge tucked within the buzz of Concourse C. It’s the kind of spot where time seems to slow just enough—offering a moment’s respite amid the steady, familiar hum of travelers and rolling suitcases. The lighting feels warm without being dim, encouraging quiet conversation or peaceful solitude as you settle in before your flight.
The pace here is unhurried, a welcome contrast to the usual airport rush. The bar area invites casual interaction, while the restaurant side offers a calm table service vibe. Behind the scenes, there’s a clear dedication to quality and a personal touch—the kind of kitchen where chefs take pride in crafting dishes that center on comfort with personality. From mornings brought to life with perfectly cooked eggs and crispy bacon to later in the day, when juicy burgers and thoughtfully seasoned sides come into focus, each plate feels carefully composed without fuss.
Bar Symon manages to balance the comforting familiarity of a local favorite with subtle moments of surprise: a salad that’s generously fresh, fries layered with just the right savory notes, or a cocktail that strikes the precise note of refreshment. Whether you’re alone by the window nursing a drink or sharing a laugh over a late breakfast before a trip, the staff’s warmth and attentiveness ease the transition between destinations.
For those waiting out a layover, this is more than a pit stop—it’s a pause where you can feel grounded, nourished, and quietly lifted. Here, the food and drinks serve as an invitation to savor not just the taste but the small human moments in between travels.

Very very well put together and tasty smash bacon burger. Crispy bacon, just the right amount of lettuce and onions so it wasn’t overwhelming to eat. The special sauce seemed mayo based and was super good and a good amount to not need any other condiment (I’m normally a ketchup “dipper”). Parm fries were loaded with Parm and very excellent. I’d definitely eat here again.

I always make a point to stop in here for a bite to eat when I can, preferably for breakfast. It’s convenient, and far quieter than the food court near security. Every time I come in, this app is very friendly and accommodating. The chefs are pro when it comes to quality food in short order. My eggs are always perfect, the bacon is always crispy, and the latkes are amazing. You read that right. They offer miniature latkes as potatoes with your breakfast. They are really hard to beat. Give them a try!

As airport bars go, it's fine. The service was a little slow after I got seated and the food selection isn't great but the quality of the food is good. The size of the side of fries is frankly ridiculous and should serve two people. Solo travellers wanting a burger and fries will end up with more food than a human being needs before a flight. I left a lot of fries uneaten. This isn't a compliant address much as it is a heads up to others.

Good place to wait for a flight. Got the pina colada sangria, refreshing. The poutine fries is made with sausage gravy with rosemary fries, I like the sausage gravy idea but don’t really see any sausage and the rosemary fries just fries with a hand-full of rosemary just lay underneath the fries. Not the poutine fries I expected, it’s ok.

On my way to Chicago from Cleveland Hopkins airport my gate was right next to Bar Symon never heard of it before I had no idea …just plopped down at the bar order cobb salad and a sprite. The salad was enormous and every ingredient on there was fresh. The restaurant itself is clean and the staff is professional, and very friendly prices are excellent as well.

Poutine fries were tasty, and they were large enough to eat as a meal. Employees were nice, friendly and efficient.
